Zipit is offering pre-ordering of the new Zipit 2.
"We expect to start shipping the first Z2's in 4-6 weeks.

A Z1 serial number gives a 10% discount. :) I have two dead Zipit-1's.
Alas a USA address is needed, time to crack open my address book and start begging. Anyone with a USA address want to act as a shipper for me ?

Classic Today.
So I get a call from Allyson whilst at work. There is a high pitch noise in the back room. Alas I could not hear it on my mobile. The boiler, cooker, lights, pipes - well everything had been checked by Allyson (and helpful next door neighbor). Still I'm told there a high noise. The joys of owning a house. So I am worried, about Allyson and the Boys. So grovel to my very very nice boss - and dash off home.
I get home, Allyson and the Boys are out. When I get to the back room I can hear the noise. I try to locate the source, but the acoustics of the room and the pitch means that is near impossible to locate the direction. It is quieter from outside. I switch off most of the power (but not all Uptime of servers is important).
Spend about 15 minutes tryign to find the damn noise.
Still no joy. I check one of the detectors for the alarm system - battery powered. Nope not that. Then I think "What else in the room is battery powered ?"
So I then switch off one of Connor's toy making the noise.

And so the Alctel Period begins. Most people now know the plan to award what contracts to whom. Loads of fun and phone calls today.
