Last Thursday we met up with the Nanna, Grandad, Malc, Sharon, Angela and Brian. We did not have take-away this time :-
We had meal in a Pub by the river:-
Not a bad Bank holiday. Took Connor to the Park on Sunday, we sat in the shade while I played freeciv on my Zaurus. We then had another Poker evening. Neil, Paul, Sandip, Sanjoy and I, played with our pile of 10 pence peices - a whole 10 pounds worth. I end up - with a total 19.40 GBP I whooping 9.40 profit.
On Monday - we went to Olivia, Tony and Rachel. (Allyson ask me for the passwod for Photos->Private)

Development Case

I have finally upgraded my Mini-ITX project into a better development case:-
Giving me a top development box.
If you have javascript - see the case in full glory. Don't be fooled by the size of the mini-mouse, have a look at the surface area of the keyboard for scale.
I can now do a little bit of Morphing/hacking/tweaking and easily pack everything away quickly, keeping Allyson happy. Also nice and portable for any emergency hacks. I have a laptop as well as a Zaurus - but this is better for swapping hardware around.

Orwellian Environment Agency

A stupid report out by the Environment Agency, claims that ' Washable nappies 'are just as bad for environment', quite alot of media coverage, here, here, and here. As well as Matt (Sometime worth buying a rightwing paper for his cartoons)
How can this been true ? Will I bury th re-usable nappies in a landfill to be found in three hundred years time ? To quote the Guardian: Who on earth irons their nappies? Madness - encourage people not to bother about try to reduce damage to the environment. Even the Water companies are mentioning other impacts and pollutions caused by disposable nappies.
How can they be called a 'Environment Agency' an 'Orwellian' name indeed.
Ok - rant over, I am off to buy more cute nappies, that even though I am not a Environmental Scientist, that cause less damage to our environment.
BTW- A friend works for the Environment Resources Management Group who produced the report. I know it we will be discussing while play golf on Sunday.

That's why we love football. Going to watch a cold, wet, boring nil-nil draw, becuase one day it might be my team.
I've just sat and watched the best ever football final.
Steven Gerrard, did not go with the money, he stayed at Liverpool, he won. Football won.
